Balmuda Green Fan 2
Muhahaha!! Am I ready for summer or what? Introducing my new bad ass room fan. A Balmuda Green Fan 2. Why is it such a bad ass? Because it cost ¥34,800 yen. Lol
But really, other than its' clean simple design, I really did get it because its gonna help me sleep better during the sweltering humid summer nights in Tokyo.
I'm a super light sleeper. I even notice the sound of my girlfriend rubbing her eyes while she sleeps. And so the fact that this fan makes just 13dB of noise is just awesome. You can barely tell it's on. BTW, 10dB is the sound of a flapping butterfly. How awesome is that?
Another example is personally, I cant sleep outdoors in the open because small gusts of wind wake me up too. I know, weird. So a regular oscillating fan keeps me up. Even the sound of fans oscillating irritates the crap outta me. With this fan's funky blades, the wide and consistent breeze that it makes really is gonna help with those steaming nights. No need for oscillating. Problem solved.
Also I'm helping save the planet. Since my bad ass fan only consumes 3W of energy. How eco-friendly is that in this age of mad energy conservation in Japan.
So I bet it sounds like I'm making excuse after excuse to justify the fact that I just blew $430 bucks on a fan. Maybe. But I got me a bad ass fan, and I love it! This thing better last me at least 10 years though. Haha!
P.S. - Yeah I could have gotten a Dyson Air Multiplier for the same price. But have you ever heard that "bladeless fan"? That thing is way louder than my PC. It's basically a giant PC fan sucking in air through the base and channeling it through the hoop. Just a cool looking novelty in my book. Bogus.
