US movie titles are often changed when they premiere in Japan for no reason. The Fast and the Furious: Fast Five for example was changed to Wild Speed Mega Max.

But recently The Adventures of Tin Tin premiered as "Tan Tan no Bouken." Translated: The Adventures of Tan Tan.

Why change the name to Tan Tan? Well "Ti" is usually pronounced "Chi" in Japanese.

Which would mean if they kept the original name, the Japanese would pronounce it as The Adventures of Chin Chin.

Penis people... chin chin means penis. Yes, The Adventures of Penis. Awesome.
